POSITION: Revenue Cycle Manager
TGCW is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Revenue Cycle Manager in Mount Vernon NY. The Revenue Cycle Manager is responsible for the overall accounts receivable functions of the billing department. Major focus on team building; to build and inspire a collaborative team to continue to excel utilizing analytical and lean methodology in the approach to revenue enhancement. All revenue cycle operations are managed internally. Reports to the Director of Revenue Cycle and Billing.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Promote revenue cycle improvements throughout the organization, including working with appropriate program front desk staff, medical records, billing, denial management, collections, insurance verifications, authorizations, and customer service (internal and external) etc., to aid in the resolution of identified revenue cycle issues. Maintain a working knowledge of OMH, OASAS, Medicare and other payers’ billing regulations for all TGCW programs. Perform ongoing trend analysis on third party payer payments to ensure timely reimbursements in accordance with allowable amounts stated in agreements and contracts. Supervise the Billing team, including Billing Specialists & Insurance Management Specialist. Develop relationships with major payer’s to assist in the resolution of outstanding accounts receivables (AR). Monitor and make decisions regarding the value and collectability of AR. Prepare monthly analysis reports pertaining to AR. Implement and monitor collection procedures, minimizing contractual and bad debt write offs, and maximizing revenue and cash collections. Set goals, communicate expectations to staff, and follow-up with Director of Revenue Cycle and Billing Director as needed. Provide support and participate with executive leadership in the implementation of systems, processes, and procedures to ensure regulatory compliance, and maintaining an awareness of changes in healthcare matters directly or indirectly impact the revenue cycle. Assist with the evaluation and resolution of various compliance matters involving insurers like Medicare, Medicaid, Commercial payers.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Strong leadership and problem-solving skills. Personal qualities of integrity, accountability, and credibility. Demonstrated experience and accomplishments in revenue cycle management. Demonstrates experience in overseeing a 5+ employee team. Strong initiative and ability to manage multiple projects as well as strong follow through skills. Must be detail orientated with strong organizational skills. Ability to communicate effectively, both oral and written form, with all levels of employees, including leadership as required. Able to champion new initiative, serve as a catalyst for change, and influence others to accept and embrace change.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree in either business or financial related field. Finance, or health care related field is preferred. Seven to ten years' experience in revenue cycle management. Behavioral healthcare preferred. Software/Hardware: Myevolv preferred; MS Office Ability to assume responsibility without direct supervision.
Salary: range 60K-64k
